Work, work, and more work.

It’s been a week since my last day of class, and I’m busy as always.
I’ve been trying to complete tax forms to be submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency. Some people think that completing such forms are effortless.
I’d like to see you try and complete them on your own without getting penalize by the government for calculating it inaccurately.
It is a tough job being hassled by the government almost every working hour of the day. On top of that, every day I have people coming up to me asking why there is a large deduction on their pay that goes towards taxes.
If you don’t want the government to borrow your money for the year, then fill out a TD1 form accurately and have your taxes deducted to the exact cent. If you are not satisfied by the deduction, then maybe you should try and calculate it by yourself using the CRA’s online calculator.
Please bear in mind that you need to know the rates for CPP, EI, and if you’re in Quebec; QPP, EI, QPIP. But don’t forget to look up your Income Tax Tables. You’ll also need to know the difference between benefits and allowances.
When you know all those things, you can come up to me and tell me that I’ve calculated your pay inaccurately. Until then, we payroll practitioners, are very busy people.

Thought I’d let you know that I had stopped by. Sounds rough, doing everything that you are doing! Those forms are hard to fill out. I can’t fill out my own tax forms. I’m afraid I’ll screw something up and that the Canadian government will nail me with something for miscalculating it! Ha ha. But I thought I’d let you know that I absolutely love your site!

Ugh, that sounds absolutely horrid!
If I were in your position, I don’t know what I would do, especially since I put off everything– homework, chores, shopping lists, schedules, etc.
Best of luck doing those tax thingies.
