Website Review – Information
By applying for a review, you are giving me permission to give constructive criticism, feedback, and as well a personal opinion on your website; which would hopefully allow you to improve and upgrade your website further.
Your website will be judged based on:
|
› Your layout: Is it blinding me? Is it attractive? Everything that has to do with how your website looks like is important—from the tip on of the page to the little footer at the bottom. Therefore I will make excessive comments about it. I will be viewing your website through Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer with a screen resolution of 1280 by 1024. › Your coding: though I don’t expect it to be validated, it is important that you do so. It is to cut down loading time and have your website compatible with different browsers. If not valid, not to worry. I will try my best to help you with it (by pointing out the errors) to make the process shorter. › Your visitor page: how original/creative is your content? Does your website have what it takes to keep me interested? I will usually browse the whole visitor page and time myself on how much time I spent looking through it. This way, I can rate how interesting your content is. › Your writings: basically your spelling and grammar. I don’t expect anyone to have perfect in English—but I do expect that you try your best. Websites are not meant to be written in MSN chat. |
At the very end of the review, I will have a small section I like to call “Jane’s Words of Wisdom—Somewhat”. This section is basically an overview of your whole website. Something like a conclusion to an essay to sum up everything that I have said so far but in short sentences. Only the important points are made.
You can expect some harsh comments from me, I do not sugar coat my opinions/reviews. If you want someone to tell you that your website is the best and perfect in every way, don’t bother applying.
I will be rating your website from 0 to 5. 0 being absolutely horrible or unable to load and 5 being I enjoyed your website to the max. But mind you, til this day since June of 2007, no one has ever received a 5 star from me.
As a small token of appreciation, please have a link of my website somewhere on your website as you apply. It doesn’t have to be on the main page, a link is a link. Thank you. I’ll be looking forward to your application.
